Pl@ntNet is a research and educational initiative on plant biodiversity supported by Agropolis Foundation since 2009. The sustainability of this initiative, which requires human and technological means, can only be assured with the support of a part of the users. In order to keep Pl@ntNet applications free, accessible to all and without advertising, we are launching a donation campaign for those who wish to support this initiative. This campaign will allow to evaluate the economic model proposed and to balance the future developments with the donations.

Pl@ntNet is a wonderful scientific, human, educational and technological adventure. It allows everyone to discover and explore the plant world at his own pace. We believe that its societal, educational and scientific potential is still far from being achieved and we hope that many of you will support us in ensuring the continuity of the work carried out.

Donations made to Pl@ntNet are collected by Agropolis Foundation, which is a foundation for French scientific cooperation recognized as being of public utility, with the aim of enabling several public institutions to carry out scientific projects. Donations are entirely invested in the maintenance, development and management of Pl@ntNet.

Agropolis Foundation initially provided financial support to Pl@ntNet and today coordinates the collection of donations to ensure its exploitation. Find the status of Agropolis Foundation at the following address:
