To create a group, nothing could be easier, you just have to go on the dedicated icon 
of the mobile application and let yourself be guided (it can also be done on a computer thanks to the web version of Pl@ntNet). Once the group is created, you can invite members to join it. They will then be able to share their observations with the group and access those of others to comment, review, download or view them on a map.
To satisfy all uses, there are two main types of groups: public groups, which are open to everyone, and private groups, which are only accessible to members of your choice. It is also possible to restrict the observations of a group to a particular geographical area. This is very useful for monitoring the biodiversity of a territory, whether it is a garden, a town or a forest.
Before creating a new group, make sure that there is not already a group with the same name or the same goal as you! In many cases, there is strength in numbers, and it would be a shame to have everyone working in their own corner when the goal is the same. To search for groups, use the small magnifying glass at the top right of the “My Groups” screen. You can request to join a private group, but you will need to be accepted by the group administrator. For public groups, on the other hand, no need to confirm, the door is wide open to you!
